First two children returned from Poland!

Last Tuesday (June 12, 2001), Matthew and Cynthia Janowski returned with their mother back to the United States. Their father Cezary Janowski had kidnapped the children to Poland in January of 1999.

Since December of 2000, the mother was unsuccessfully trying to enforce a court order based on the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction application. Due to the determination of the mother, multiple interventions of the American Embassy in Warsaw, the children were finally turned over to their mother Natalia on Friday June 8, 2001.

Hopefully, we will be able to provide first-hand detailed story about Natalia’s problems as she tried to deal with the Polish judicial system since 1999.

Congratulations!

PS. And for Ms. M. Janczewska from [link id=’11’ text=’Superexpress.pl’] there are some samples of pictures with “unhappy” and “distressed” children, after their return to their home in United States. How do you like them apples?
